Prepare the Patties In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently until just combined.
Form into 4 oval-shaped patties.
Sear the Patties Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned.
Remove from skillet and set aside.
Cook the Onion and Mushrooms In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add sliced onions and mushrooms.
Cook until softened and slightly caramelized.
Make the Gravy Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well.
Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
Add Worcestershire sauce and simmer until thickened.
Serve Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
