  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes optional, for extra heat

For the Hot Honey Sauce:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • Pinch of salt

For the Bowls:

  • 2 cups cooked rice, white, brown, or jasmine
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli or green beans
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 small cucumber thinly sliced
  • Sesame seeds or green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart into crumbles. Stir in soy sauce, paprika, and chili flakes.
  • Make the Hot Honey Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk honey, hot sauce, vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Adjust sweetness or spice to your taste.
  • Glaze the Beef: Pour the hot honey sauce over the cooked beef. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat.
  • Assemble the Bowls: Divide rice into bowls. Top with glazed ground beef, steamed broccoli, bell pepper, and cucumber.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Drizzle extra hot honey on top if desired.
