Instructions

Preheat the oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it for easy cleanup.

Prepare the glaze:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth and glossy.

Coat the salmon:

  • Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each fillet generously with the maple Dijon glaze, reserving some for later.

Bake the salmon:

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized.
  • (Alternatively, pan-sear for 3–4 minutes per side in a hot skillet.)

Finish and serve:

  • Brush with the remaining glaze and garnish with lemon slices and parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor — not pancake syrup.
  • The glaze can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • For a smoky flavor, this recipe also works beautifully on the grill.
