For the Sandwich

Whole grain sourdough
or brioche bread

Deli turkey breast
4–6 slices or leftover roasted turkey

ripe
Avocado
sliced or mashed

Tomato slices

Handful of lettuce
or spinach

Swiss cheese
1–2 slices, provolone, or cheddar (optional)

mayonnaise
1–2 tbsp or aioli
Salt & black pepper
Optional:

Instructions
Prep the Bread:
Lightly toast the bread if desired. Spread mayonnaise or aioli on one or both slices.
Layer the Turkey:
Add turkey slices evenly across the bread.
Add Avocado:
Spread mashed avocado or place sliced avocado on top. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Add Veggies & Cheese:
Layer tomatoes, lettuce or spinach, onion, or any optional add-ins. Add cheese if using.
Assemble & Serve:
Top with the second slice of bread. Slice in half and serve immediately.
Notes
Add bacon or crispy prosciutto for extra flavor.
Swap mayo for Greek yogurt or hummus for a lighter sandwich.
Use gluten-free bread if needed.
Mash the avocado with lime juice to prevent browning.
