Ingredients

Main

  • 6 cups seedless watermelon cubes about half a medium watermelon
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice about half a lime
  • 1 tsp honey or agave, optional
  • Ice cubes for serving

Optional Add-ins

To Garnish

  • Mint sprigs
  • Thin lime wheels
  • Small watermelon wedges

Instructions

  • Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any large seeds. Seedless watermelon is easiest, but small seeds are fine if you strain later.
  • Place watermelon cubes, lime juice, and honey (if using) in a blender. Add mint or ginger if desired. Blend on high until smooth.
  • For a silky texture, pour through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract the juice. Skip if you prefer pulp.
  • Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes or pour over ice. Top with sparkling water for fizz if you like.
  • Add mint sprigs, lime wheels, or a small watermelon wedge for a pretty finish.

Notes

  • Adjust honey to taste — ripe watermelon may not need extra sweetener.
  • Freeze watermelon cubes for an instant slush or to use as ice without diluting the flavor.
  • A pinch of salt enhances perceived sweetness, especially in less-ripe fruit.
